Meet the Team
Gatsby Benchmark 4: Linking curriculum learning to careers.
In addition to the STEM Crew online curriculum linked learning resources, the Meet the Team videos highlight individuals’ roles within a technology and design driven professional sports team. This will help students to contextualise their learning and allows them to develop knowledge and understanding of the wide range of careers involved in a professional sports team.
Meet Ian Pattison a sailmaker in the America’s Cup since 2000. Now back in his hometown with INEOS Team UK.
Meet Ben Pink. Junior Strength and Conditioning Coach for INEOS TEAM UK heading into his first America’s Cup
Meet James Roche. Performance & Data Analysis Team Leader at INEOS TEAM UK and the man behind the simulator.

4. Linking curriculum learning to careers
All teachers should link curriculum learning with careers. For example, STEM subject teachers should highlight the relevance of STEM subjects for a wide range of future career paths.
5. Encounters with employers and employees
Every pupil should have multiple opportunities to learn from employers about work, employment and the skills that are valued in the workplace. This can be through a range of enrichment activities including visiting speakers, mentoring and enterprise schemes.
By linking the videos to curriculum learning they will help highlight the importance of STEM subjects for gaining entry to a wide range of careers, providing clear evidence of supporting Gatsby Benchmark 4: linking curriculum learning to careers as well as providing an encounter with an employee.
