THE #POWERUP CHALLENGE

The #PowerUp Challenge was launched by the 1851 Trust in partnership with Goodwall, Emirates GBR SailGP Team, and Low Carbon, used the inspirational backdrop of elite sport to engage young people globally with climate action and green STEM careers.

The challenge spotlighted the Emirates GBR SailGP Team’s off-grid renewable energy system as a case study, demonstrating real-world innovation in sport and sustainability.

The programme used athlete-led videos, interactive challenges, and gamified content on Goodwall to inspire and inform. The digital-first approach, launched with teaser content on Earth Day, was backed by targeted social media and email marketing to youth and educators worldwide.
